2.4.3 Assigning the IP Network Address
The Internet Protocol
IP
network address is a 32-bit address in the form
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, where each

ou also must input the backplane slot number. Without the slot number,

2.4.4 Assigning the Default Gateway Address and Subnet Mask
Consult
our network administrator to determine whether
ou need to specif
a
default

address and subnet mask. If this data is re
uired, the network
administrator should suppl
it. Input the

address in fields G4 throu
h G1.
Input the subnet mask at the bottom of the screen.
Note:
If
ou are usin
the confi
uration extension to assi

and subnet mask, remember to input a slot number as well. The slot number is

uration extension.
2.4.5 Resetting the Module
If

uration after installin
the module,
ou must reset
the module for

it back in its slot.
CAUTION
DUPLICATE ADDRESS HAZARD
Be sure to re
ister the module’s IP network address with your system administrator to avoid
duplication.
Failure to observe this precaution can result in injury or equipment damage.
